Deaths: The back part of the barn was thrown to the west while a wagon in the trailer was pushed out through the barn. It then grew in width and intensity as it crossed Highway 1365 and uprooted, snapped and twisted over 200 trees in a heavily forested area around a deep karst ravine. Counties: Marion "When I flipped one of the steaks and it didn't come back down, I knew it was time to go inside." Path length: In this area, winds were estimated to be 90 mph (EF1) with a damage width of 30 yards along the south fork of the Blue Lick River. Pieces of clothing, blankets, sheets, metal siding, and roofing were wrapped around uprooted trees and hanging from power lines. Another outbuilding was overturned and slidabout 10 feet. Notes: This tornado touched down near Hickory Flat Road just south of its intersection with Hickory Flat-Ridge Road in Simpson County where about a dozen trees were uprooted. The straight-line winds were estimated at 70 mph. Jefferson County: The Jefferson County portion of the track was well-covered in the local newspapers. F-scale: F1 Deaths: 0 Path length: A sign was also blown down at a, Straight line winds along and north of the supercell moving, through Simpson County uprooted shallow-rooted hardwood and, softwood trees and destroyed a tool shed on Evans Rd. The first places hit were the Anderson Farm about three miles south of Georgetown, where a cabin lost its roof, the Showalters Farm just south of there, and Julia Marcum's place next door to the Showalters. Time: 2:50pm EST Twelve other homes and a church were damaged, and two barns were destroyed. A new 24 foot travel trailer was destroyed. Path length: 0.3 mile I am impressed! It touched down again in Elk Creek but didn't do much more damage.
